A reason to succeed

Kerrie

Kerrie wanted to find a way to stay at home and look after her daughter. What she found brought her so much more...

Twelve months ago, whilst on maternity leave with my third daughter, I was at the point where I really didn’t want to return to work. Unfortunately, I knew that I would have to go back early (regardless of how I felt) as our income was just not enough to sustain our home. However, things changed after my youngest was diagnosed with shallow hip sockets. She needed to be put into a spica harness to help stop her hips from dislocating, and that’s when I knew I had to find a way to stay at home; I wanted to help with her treatment and manage weekly hospital visits!

I had been watching a lady on social media for twelve months prior to this and I loved the positivity and happiness she and her family displayed. A year later I was thinking about this lady and I figured it was about time my family got a bit of that happiness. After finding out that she was a Forever Business Owner, I signed up myself and got to work. Within three weeks I had hit my first promotion and this was even before my first launch. I just completely fell in love with the business and we as a family love the products.

In the beginning, one of our initial goals was to achieve just £200 a month; this would mean we could have a family holiday at the end of the year. Incredibly, in less than ten weeks we had earned enough to take the family on a holiday to Tenerife. That’s where we hit our promotion to Manager.

Like everyone else I have had my ups and downs, but one thing I’ve realised is that things won’t just happen; I need to make them happen! I have to make it happen for myself, my family, and our future. I’m also good at ignoring the thought of failure; I’ve learnt that if you don’t fail, you’re not trying hard enough, and if you don’t try new things, you will never learn anything.

This business has brought so much into our lives, not just as a family but for me as a person. Throughout my twenties I went through some really tough abusive times, enough to cut me off from the world and leave me no longer knowing who I was. I felt like I had to start again; I needed to rebuild my confidence and find myself. My children have their mum back; they have so many new ‘aunties’, ‘uncles’ and friends to play with, and for me this is amazing. I’m an only child and I always longed for a big family! Forever has given me the challenge I was missing in life, and it’s given me a reason to succeed.
